Rivers, which act like conveyor belts, gather more and more debris as they flow downstream and it is estimated that 1000 rivers are responsible for nearly 80% of global annual riverine plastic emissions into the ocean. It was calculated that the levels as of 2022, it is equivalent to dumping a rubbish truck (1 ton) of plastic into the ocean per minute.
Towards combatting plastic pollution and in collaboration with Think Ocean to help raise awareness of and support their ongoing efforts, the Think Ocean Polar Bear Aspirations Cotton Embroidered T-Shirt was designed in-house and is manufactured-to-order on demand in our best effort to overcome the two biggest contributors to waste in fashion: overproduction and guesswork.
